Cycling from Vienna to Marchfeld
With a total length of 60 kilometres, the Marchfeld Canal Cycle Path takes you from Vienna right to the gates of Imperial Festival Palace Hof. The idyllic landscape along the way offers wonderful opportunities for becoming acquainted with varied biotopes that are home to numerous species of flora and fauna as well as a number of important cultural monuments in the area.
The route takes you through almost completely flat terrain with only a few gentle grades and is thus suitable for less athletic cyclists as well.
You can download a German-language brochure with a practical map and lots of useful information as a PDF file (ca. 5.5 MB) here or order one free of charge by phoning 02285 200 00.
